Match Preview - Team Solent vs Bodmin Town

Team Solent welcome Bodmin Town to Test Park in the hope of reaching the FA Vase Fourth Round.

The Sparks will be hoping their six-nil midweek over Upham will inspire them to victory, after Andover Town put an end to their 19 match unbeaten run last Saturday.

A Wembley trip next year is added motivation to reach the final, so overcoming a talented side in Bodmin is vital for the students.

Solent have never battled in the FA Vase Third Round, whereas their visitors are in known territory, having reached the Fifth Round in 2012-13.

Town are currently in mixed form but represent a treble-winning side of 2015/16, winning the South West Peninsula League, the Cornwall Senior Cup and the Walter C Parsons trophy.

Sammy Mathews won the man of the match vs Launceston for the Black and Ambers, shaping a good face-off between him and ex-Tottenham Jesse-Waller Lassen.

Kick-off is a 3pm one this Saturday, and tickets can be bought on the turnstiles along with programmes.
